Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise Support Ends in 30 Days

Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise Support Ends in 30 Days

Microsoft has reminded organizations that Windows 11 version 23H2 Enterprise, Education and IoT Enterprise editions will stop receiving monthly security updates on November 10, 2026. The deadline affects business, education and specialized systems that still run the older release.

November 10 cutoff

Microsoft's Windows release health page says Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise and Education editions will continue receiving monthly security updates until November 10, 2026. After that date, devices on those editions will no longer receive Microsoft's regular security protections against newly disclosed threats.

Microsoft's documentation for Windows 11 IoT Enterprise version 23H2 also lists November 10, 2026, as the end-of-servicing date.

Enterprise fleets lose patches

The deadline follows the end of support for Windows 11 23H2 Home and Pro editions on November 11, 2025. Enterprise and Education editions received a longer support period, giving organizations additional time to coordinate testing, application compatibility and deployment across managed devices.

After support ends, existing installations can continue to run, but they will no longer receive the monthly security fixes Microsoft provides for supported releases. That makes the deadline particularly relevant to organizations operating large Windows fleets or systems connected to sensitive networks.

26H2 is Microsoft's target

Microsoft is directing eligible devices toward Windows 11 version 26H2, also called the Windows 11 2026 Update. Microsoft's current Windows 11 release information lists version 26H2 as generally available from September 29, 2026, with support for Enterprise and Education editions through October 9, 2029.

Microsoft's official guidance recommends moving eligible 23H2 systems to a supported Windows release to continue receiving monthly security updates. The release-health page provides Microsoft's current support status and links to update information.

IoT support follows schedule

Windows 11 IoT Enterprise has its own servicing documentation. Microsoft lists version 23H2 as having build 22631, a start date of October 31, 2023, and an end-of-servicing date of November 10, 2026. The newer IoT Enterprise version 26H2 is listed as starting September 29, 2026, with support through October 9, 2029.

The approaching deadline leaves organizations with less than a month to account for remaining 23H2 systems. BleepingComputer reported that Microsoft's message to customers identified the November 2026 security update as the final update for the affected editions.
